No...

It isn't funny.

It's sad.

How she took his trust and abused it. How she took all that time he gave her and wasted it. How she wants to regain something that she tossed aside. How she is the one who has let the chance steal away. How she made no effort until now.

Why???

Why should he allow himself to be the consolation prize? When whatever game it was she was playing didn't pan out she comes scuttling back to him.

Why should he think that she knows how angry he was? When she was only too quick to say that his anger was unwarranted.

Why, on that last fateful night, did she continue to portray herself as the injured innocent? When she knew her story was coming apart at the seams she continued to try to defend the indefensible (if she had half a brain she should have spotted the signals ages before that she had been rumbled).

Why did she lie about being in Portsmouth? When she obviously wasn't there.

Why should he think that she will tell him the truth this time? When all she told him before were countless lies.

So many questions. But will she answer them???

She'll have to accept his cynicism. All things considered, she should hardly be surprised.

And if she wants to try to make amends she should tell him the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

About her husband, her ex, the man who went to Iraq, the man who supposedly appeared on her doorstep unannounced one Friday night and stopped the weekend, the photos, how they appeared on another profile... everything... including all the bits she's missed out ...

... the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth...

And even if she does it might not make any difference.

But that's a chance she'll have to take.

If she's serious.

True.

But the way she behaved was pretty despicable. And what you can read here is only part of the story.

How would you feel if someone strung you along for months and then just tossed you aside?
